RIB Tubes
RIB Tubes are the inflatable collars which are attached to the hull of a rigid-hull inflatable boat (RIB). They have evolved from the early days of inflatables, into complex and technical inflatable structures using high tech Hypalon fabric with very durable characteristics. Tubes are made in a wide range of colours and styles utilising a variety of construction techniques suited to the particular boat type. We manufacture RIB Tubes to suit any hull design from small to large using Curved, Sectional, D Section or Foam Filled designs.
RIB Tubes / Collars are also somtimes referred to as RIB Sponsons which are the generic term for an outer extension to a boat at or below the waterline. In the case of a RIB the word sponson either means additional buoyancy and thus stability against capsize, or to add hydrodynamic forces to resist capsize. A RIB Collar / Sponson can often be easily attached to an existing craft to improve its stability.
